This exciting activity aims to assist working artists in both showcasing and developing their work through open studios and exhibits within the beautiful Tree Street Area. Tree street residents also can participate and build a sense of pride in their community by working with neighbours and friends by hosting the artists.

Artists

Application Checklist:

  • 35 word artist statement/bio for the map guide. Remember this statement will be featured on our marketing material which will introduce you to the general public
  • 3 images at 300dpi, sized between 2.5MB and 5MB, and formatted as a jpeg file. We recommend you use professional quality images of your artwork. Images that are low quality will not be featured
  • Re-name all files to include your name, artwork title, medium and size before uploading e.g. Jane Doe_Wild Seascapes_Oil on canvas_10x10cm
  • Optional if you are a new artist – artist portrait of you in your studio. We love to share smiling portraits that show off your welcoming space and artworks
  • Art Groups who register must meet at least once a month and consist of more than 4 members. Art Groups must nominate one member to apply on behalf of the group
Host Venues
‍Thank you for offering to host our artists in the Tree Street Art Safari. Without our host homes this community event would not be possible

Application Checklist:

  • To participate homeowner must have home and contents insurance and by entering you confirm that you do so. Health, safety and your homes are the upmost importance to us during the TSAS
  • Please confirm in your application if you’re able to host a food truck, beverages, musicians etc. Or if you don’t have much space, could you host a food truck on your verge?
  • Please confirm your homes accessibility, wheelchair and pram access etc
  • Do you have a toilet that the public could use? We recommend offering your toilet if it’s on the outside of your home and doesn’t require people entering your house
Food + Drink Vendors
3 of our food vendors last year provided the feedback that the event was their biggest sales day for the year

Application Checklist:

  • All vendors will need to provide public liability insurance and if you’re a food vendor you will be required to provide your food registration certificate
  • If you’re selling alcoholic beverages, it is your responsibility to obtain and purchase a liquor license for this event specifically. You will be required to submit proof of your liquor license to the event coordinator prior to the event.
  • You’re welcome to discuss your liquor license with the event coordinator, however if it is delayed or there are issues with its approval it is not the event coordinators responsibility to chase your liquor license up.
Musicians + Performers
We’re always on the lookout for Geographe musicians and buskers to entertain our visitors. This is a great opportunity to promote your music locally to a fabulous audience.

  • 1-3 images at 300dpi, sized between 2.5MB and 5MB, and formatted as a jpeg file. We recommend you use professional quality images of your performance. Images that are bad quality will not be featured
