Anita Shortland is an emerging artist who draws from life and imagination to produce vibrant images on board and paper that inspire nostalgia, curiosity and hope. She works intuitively in layers of paint, collage, ink pencil and other media to embed personal meaning into each piece; building depth, texture and contrast before resolving the final image. Anita's first solo exhibition Rhythms of Place is at BRAGWA from 29 January to 3 April 2022. Much of her work features the local built landscape.
