My Name is Sally Rampin. I currently work as a public servant in Bunbury. I have been painting for a few years and started to sell my paintings in 2021 at Art in the Park. I have sold about 20 paintings over the last two years. My main focus is Australian Native plants and flowers. I have a slight style with some expressionism thrown in. My aim is for the paintings not to resemble a photo of such a plant but a painting of a beautiful and recognisable native plant with a twist. This year I have done a series of mindful Flora paintings which I love doing as they come from within not from a picture or photo of the subject. This has been a really relaxing journey that completely clears the mind which I liken to a form of meditation. One day, maybe when I’m retired from the traditional forms of making an income I will sell my painting to subsidise my artists lifestyle.
