Ferguson Flower Farm
The Ferguson Flower Farm is a mini micro flower farm growing seasonal cottage garden flowers, such as roses, dahlias and a variety of annuals and perennials in the hills of the Ferguson Valley. The farm began in 2020 - having previously tended a large rose/perennial garden for 10 years. We try to farm in a in a manner that improves the heath and structure of the soil, using minimal till and no pesticides, to encourage the beneficial insects amongst the flowers and the micro-organisms below the ground. Once harvested, the flowers are arranged into affordable, fragrant, whimsical garden bouquets and sold at local markets or delivered locally. Pat has no formal florist training. However, time spent in Holland in her twenties, where a stop at the neighbourhood flower stall was part of the weekly grocery shopping, encouraged her passion for the joy flowers bring and a bit of an eye for colour and whimsy. Her wish is to continue the idea of flowers in the house as a common practice, where they can bring joy and fragrance into our homes.
