Birds n blooms and luscious colours are the heart of inspiration for all of my arty creations! Birds are a totem for me, they somehow make everything seem brighter. So do the doggos of the world; they bring the love. It's a certainty that you will see at least one if not all of these lil critters in my works. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Ceramic Design which is where I first fell madly in love with texture and colour. The media I work with in my paintings has those same qualities. Experimentation is everything. So I deliberately choose media for the way it responds and interacts with different surfaces, other materials, and particularly for its light reflecting properties. I am totally mesmerised by colour and light!! I use everything from watercolours, inks, and acrylics to paint markers, pens, brushes, stencils, stitch and stamps; layering the many, tiny and rambunctious details of my works.
