I am a mixed media artist living in the South West of Western Australia not far from the town of Donnybrook. My background is in textiles, growing up with my Mother and older Sister as dress makers. My B.A major was in textiles. I print on natural fibres with Lino blocks that are inspired by native flora and folk art, which are then made into tableware and garments. I produce hand built pottery and dabble with mosaics, making garden art. 2D works on paper and board, including g collage, printing and painting are also part of the creative mix. My art life is about creating a whole world. Art is life-life is art. Ceramics, textiles, table wear, clothing, painting, cooking and mosaics. Very fortunate growing up in a household where dressing the table, making our own clothes and cooking with fresh and available produce was the norm. I love living in a beautiful environment such as our Preston valley which offers me abundant produce for my range of preserves, and inspiration to work with. Bring in range of a day trip to the Bunbury area, with its amazing beaches also feeds my creativity. ◦
