I am a self-taught oil paint and watercolour artist from Crooked Brook, WA. My work can be described as whimsical and joyful, and I love painting animals in a style that captures their unique personalities and cutest quirks. I have created a beautiful range of watercolour greeting cards and gifts that I call "By the Crooked Brook" featuring approximately thirty of these happy creatures. This collection is available in my online store, in a handful of shops around the South West and direct from my studio or market stalls. I also enjoy the slower process of oil painting, again inspired by nature and day to day life, and have a small collection of original pieces and commissions constantly on the go. Much of my inspiration is from my Canadian Australian background and I love to use a strong dark colour palate in my oil paintings, in comparison to the light and airy nature of my watercolours! The greatest part of sharing my artwork is its ability to capture the imagination and hearts of the viewer, especially with the happy enthusiasm of my Crooked Brook creatures.
